Abstract:

Introduction: Sotto Hall test used in physical examination to locate a possible visceral dysfunction. The Tests should be as valid and reliable as possible. Reliability is the measure of confidence and proper functioning of a system and it can be both intra and interexaminer. Objective: to examine the intra and interexaminer reliability of Sotto Hall tests to determine visceras in dysfunction. Methodology: a double-blind experimental study. Sotto Hall test was carried out by three osteopaths twice in a sample of 40 volunteers.. Results: the kappa index showed good reliability intraexaminer in three osteopaths (k = 1.00, 0.87, 0.89, 0.85, 0.88, 0.93). Good (k = 0.63) and moderate (k = 0.58) interexaminer reliability to determine whether the test is positive or negative, and moderate (k = 0.50) reliability and very low (k = 0.14) reliability to determine which was the viscera in dysfunction. Conclusions: there was intraexaminer reliability in the Sotto Hall test. There was interexaminer reliability to determine whether the test is positive or negative but no interexaminer reliability for determining the viscera in dysfunction. Metodologia: estudi experimental a doble cec.
